About the Author
Karen Lea Armstrong has had a lifelong passion for reading, writing, and languages. She has practised family medicine in Northern Ontario since 1997, including fifteen years of obstetrics, during which she delivered more than five hundred babies. She has been published in multiple genres including short fiction, poetry, and academic work. She’s also on a mission to rid the world of misplaced apostrophes.
Armstrong lives in Timmins, Ontario, with her husband Paul. They have two grown children and a lovable but untrainable rescue dog. |

"Armstrong is a gifted writer. This is evident within the first few chapters. She pulls us into her story with her powerful character development but also with the way her prose seems poetic without being overly done. "–Amazon Reviewer

"This book was a really heartwarming read, full of life, laughter, loss and northern culture. A northern maternity ward nurse tells stories of her life through the mechanism of speaking with a young highschooler who is interested in becoming a nurse herself. Easily the best book I've read in the past year, and I am excited for more to come!"–Goodreads reviewer
